There are no military dependents' villages in Douliu, but in a quiet alley, there is a large sign that reads "教官外省麵". The owner is a Taipei native who retired from the Air Force, but his exceptional culinary skills were indeed taught by an outer provincial military instructor. The color of the Yangchun noodles here is quite dark, resembling red-braised beef noodles, with a rich and savory aroma of braised pork. The flavor is quite unique.
