高雄市前鎮區中華五路789號
The Dream Mall's architectural design is inspired by nature. The front Blue Whale Pavilion features a glass curtain wall façade, symbolizing the rhythms of water and sky, with the massive blue whale appearing to swim into the Golden Coast. The rear main building's granite exterior wall represents the eternal qualities of the Earth and stone. Connected by a skybridge, the two structures resemble a grand vessel entering the harbor of Dabao Mountain in Kaohsiung Port. The top floor's Ferris wheel, with a diameter of 50 meters and a total height of 102.5 meters, offers a 360-degree panoramic view of both coastal and cityscapes—Kaohsiung Port, Sizhi Bay, and Shoushan Mountain. With one full rotation taking approximately 15 minutes, the Ferris wheel's lighting rotates through six themes—spring, summer, autumn, winter, Christmas, and New Year—creating a dazzling spectacle in the night sky. The mall comprises 12 floors, including two underground and ten above-ground levels, with each floor designed around four thematic concepts: water, flowers, nature, and the universe. The total land area is 15,000 square pings, with a total floor area of 121,000 square pings, housing 78,000 square pings of commercial space and a 43,000 square ping parking area with 3,000 car parking spaces. Named after the concept of "dreams," the Dream Mall caters to both shopping and family entertainment needs. Besides introducing numerous international brand stores, gourmet restaurants, and a movie theater—with over 800 tenants—it also features indoor go-kart tracks, laser tag arenas, and kid-friendly amusement parks, including an exploration land with VR and dinosaur-themed elements, making it a family-friendly hub for shopping and fun. After opening on March 30, 2007, the mall successfully attracted over 20 million visitors within a year, becoming a new tourism landmark and iconic building in Taiwan. It has been recognized by Forbes Traveler, an edition of the American financial magazine Forbes, as one of the Top 10 best malls in Asia, ranking among Asia's premier ultra-large international shopping centers.
