The Taipei Digital Art Center (DAC) was established in 2009 and began operations by the Taipei City Government's Department of Cultural Affairs entrusting the "Digital Art Foundation". At its inception, the center's mission was focused on R&D and experimentation in digital art. From 2018 onwards, the "Taiwan Visual Art Association" (abbr. as "Vision Union") took over the operations. Leveraging its rich artistic resources and practical experience, the center promotes exhibits, performances, and strengthens local connections.
DAC provides artists with work and display spaces and matches technical professionals to facilitate outstanding digital art projects and presentations. With the goal of promoting digital art, DAC organizes six exhibits annually as well as the Taipei Digital Art Festival. The center plans over 25 forums and workshops, striving to expand digital art research and creative resources. By promoting digital art in diverse forms, DAC serves as a crucial international exchange platform for Taiwan's digital art scene.
