Reservation Guide >>https://www.taoyuantudigong.org.tw/main/ In the Taoyuan district, there are more than 7 land deity temples per square kilometer, the highest density in the country. To promote this cultural belief in land deities, the first-floor facility established Taoyuan City's first public government-owned temple - Fu De Gong. The golden and resplendent spirit niche, the elaborate color paintings on the beams and pillars, and the vigorous stone carvings demonstrate the luxurious grandeur of the temple. As Taoyuan City's first public temple, Fu De Gong not only refuses donations from devotees but also discourages the public from burning paper money or incense, supporting environmental protection. The permanent exhibition space on floors 2 and 3 displays multiple divine generals, allowing visitors to closely observe the exquisite art of deity sculptures. There are rich documentary resources and lively simulated cultural scenes such as a stage for Tsai Shih opera, a puppet theater pavilion, and temple fair stalls, enabling the public to learn about Taoyuan history, the emotional connection of Taiwanese people with this land, temple entrance culture, and the diverse land deity beliefs found globally. The facility provides free traditional theatrical costumes and puppet figures for the public to experience the fun of becoming performers or puppeteers. The Children’s Cultural Hall on floor 2 integrates multi-media interactive games, helping children easily understand traditional daily life in early Taiwan and local deity culture. The "Art Taoyuan Creative Base," featuring contributions from various artists, serves not only as a platform for creative exchanges but also regularly organizes puppet plays, storytelling theaters, and handicraft courses … among other family-friendly programs. Floors 4, 5, and 6 are designated as a civic art gallery, offering a comprehensive cultural feast for visitors through various forms of static exhibitions and multi-media presentations.
