The course was established in 1980 by a group of sports and golf enthusiasts who founded the “Taoyuan Golf & Country Club” in Jiulong Village, Longtan Township, Taoyuan County. It is an international-standard 27-hole layout; all three nines are long and demanding, and the East Course’s 1st hole stretches 760 yards, par 6, making it the longest hole in Taiwan and a magnet for visiting golfers. Each nine has its own halfway house, and the clubhouse also offers locker rooms, shower facilities, a pro shop and a putting green.
