桃園市大溪區公園路與埔仁路交叉口
Puting Park in Daxi, located in the Puting Redevelopment Area approximately 4 kilometers from Daxi Old Street, serves as a local's stunning oasis, with an area of 5.5 hectares—nearly as vast as Taipei's Beitou Park. The park's extensive tree-covered terrain, neatly arranged foliage, and rejuvenating green spaces offer a delightful contrast to the bustling ambiance of the old street. Divided into two major sections by the Northlink Freeway, the entrance near Park Fifth Street welcomes visitors with an expansive curved, retro stone wall evoking the timeless charm of European cityscapes. Bright bougainvillea flowers, akin to vibrant embroidered balls, flourish alongside and flutter with the occasional butterfly greeting guests to this serene recreational haven. Both sides of the park feature dedicated leisure and fitness zones, offering facilities like slides, rocking horses for children, and single bars, step climbers, and other fitness equipment, ensuring a comprehensive array of amenities. Enjoying aerobic breathing under lush canopies far surpasses the experience of an indoor gym! The entire park is covered with soft padding and adjacent wooden tables and chairs for parents to closely supervise children, enhancing safety with thoughtful attention. A skywalk bridge connecting both park sides allows an aerial view of the Northlink Freeway's continuous traffic flow. At night, the illuminated trails provide a tranquil contrast, making for a rare, peaceful moment amid the city's hustle. Passing through the skywalk into the larger central park area reveals a shaded avenue featuring trees such as blackboard trees, bald cypresses, maple trees, hoop pines, canarium trees, and pagoda trees, along with expansive lawns forming a boundless green vista as picturesque as any overseas scenery. Park visitors frequently enjoy walks, bicycle rides, or kite flying, and occasionally spot families picnicking on grassy hillsides or newlyweds capturing wedding photographs. Layered tree shadows filter the scorching sunlight, offering a gentle coolness during the summer season. Puting Park has previously hosted large-scale events such as the Daxi Aboriginal Annual Harvest Festival and Taoyuan Art Tours, establishing itself as Taoyuan's cultural hub integrating leisure and scenic beauty.
