### Dakeng Scenic Area ~ Mountain Trail Guide
The Dakeng Scenic Area is an important leisure destination for the spiritual relaxation of Taichung citizens, a place for mountain climbers to exercise, and a popular tourist spot in central Taiwan. On ordinary days or holidays, one can often see groups of friends and families visiting together, making it a backyard collectively owned by the people of Taichung. The most distinctive feature of the area is its 14 mountain trails. Trails 1 to 8 were opened at the beginning of 1981, built according to the natural terrain of Dakeng Mountain and its intersecting streams, with the highest elevation being 859 meters at Touwu Mountain. Trail 9 was developed in December 2005, Trail 10 was completed in March 2008, and Trail 9-1 was completed in November 2013.

- **Length**: Approximately 1.9 kilometers, suitable for those with ample physical strength.
- **Trailhead**: From Dakeng Roundabout, turn right onto Hengkeng Lane, then right onto Liankeng Lane to Zhongzheng Campground, and proceed past the parking lot to Changqing Bridge, which is the trailhead.
- **Features**: This trail retains its natural characteristics, with no obstructions on either side and excellent visibility, offering a panoramic view of Taichung City. The winding path is challenging.
