新北市坪林區水聳淒坑19-1號旁(茶業博物館旁)
Pinglin Ecological Park is nestled in the mountains and adjacent to the Tea Industry Museum, covering an area of nearly three hectares. Although it's called an ecological park, it's essentially a garden located beside the Tea Industry Museum. The park is designed according to the original terrain, preserving many areas of pristine forest. The park features numerous scenic facilities and a variety of original plant ecosystems, making it an excellent spot for leisure and recreation. The park's plant ecological areas are particularly renowned. The tea garden ecological area, medicinal plant area, and various flower seas, including rhododendron, golden needle flowers, and wild ginger flowers, as well as the apricot forest, Chinese fir forest, oil fir forest, maple tree garden, aquatic plant complex, and snake wood forest area, each have their unique characteristics. As you stroll through the park, the scent of tea intertwines with the fragrance of flowers, leaving you feeling refreshed and invigorated. Within the park, there's a "Si Yuan Tai" dedicated to the worship of Mazu, the patron deity of tea farmers, also known as the "Tea Suburb Mazu". This Mazu statue is approximately 200 years old and is said to have been brought from Fujian by mainland Chinese tea workers who immigrated to Taiwan. Due to its remarkable spiritual efficacy, an increasing number of tea farmers came to pay their respects, and it has since become the primary deity worshiped by Pinglin tea farmers, representing the spiritual anchor for the entire community.
