Xinmingjin Camellia Oil
Amid food-safety scares, Xinmingjin Restaurant planted its own camellia trees and presses the oil in-house, guaranteeing safety while promoting a uniquely Taiwanese oil. The camellia seeds are grown, picked, and cold-pressed by Xinmingjin itself; the orchard lies in the pristine Liuchongxi tribal area of Baihe, Tainan. No herbicides or chemical fertilizers are used, and SGS testing confirms zero heavy-metal or pesticide residues. Harvesting is done by hand, the seeds sun-dried, and the oil extracted by cold-pressing to preserve the full aroma and quality. With a high smoke point and stable profile, it is ideal for frying, sautéing, stewing, deep-frying, or dressing. A versatile kitchen companion.
