The Shimen Wedding Plaza, located in Shimen District, New Taipei City, is the first wedding plaza in Taiwan, which was officially opened on March 9, 2008. It is situated at 24K, Taizhong Road, Shimen District, right in front of the Shin eighteen Wangong Temple. Facing the sea, the plaza features a Greek-inspired design with a clock tower, columns, and arches in blue and white hues, creating a romantic ambiance. The plaza was built at a cost of over NT$8 million, transforming a previous makeshift vendor area into a dedicated wedding photography spot. The plaza combines fashion, scenery, and relaxation, making it a unique spot for newlyweds. With its Mediterranean-style architecture, white clock tower, and stunning ocean views, visitors can capture romantic photos without leaving Taiwan. The plaza's design is reminiscent of Greek coastal scenery, complete with blue and white tones, columns, and arches. The natural scenery of the North Coast, with its clear blue waters and sky, complements the plaza's architecture, making it an ideal spot for wedding photos.
