Beigangxi Hot Spring is a newly developed hot-spring area in Nantou, situated along the Hongxiang-Ruiyan vein—the same source as Lushan Hot Spring. The district lies on the scenic route to Huisun Forest Recreation Area, right next to the Atayal Resort. Its nearly neutral, crystal-clear water is safe to drink and bathe in and is said to offer many natural therapeutic benefits. In recent years the zone has also tapped a unique cold spring, creating a distinctive tourist corridor that combines both. Bathing facilities here are comprehensive—hot-spring swimming pools, Japanese-style baths, spa tubs, energy-enhancing health springs, and herbal baths—meeting every soaker’s needs, all set within well-appointed installations. Nearby attractions such as Huisun Forest Recreation Area, Chung Tai Chan Monastery, and Jiufen Ershan are must-sees, and the flavorful Hakka cuisine is a delight in itself.
