新北市石门区253石門區富貴角(石門區公所)
Fugui Cape is Taiwan's northernmost cape, where the unique northeastern monsoon winds in winter have crafted a landscape of wind-eroded stones. In addition to appreciating the special geological landscape, travelers can walk along the gentle coastal path, admiring the coastal plants, wind-sculpted trees, and twisting reefs along the way. At the observation deck, they can take in the stunning views of the cape, and visit the unique octagonal Fugui Cape Lighthouse. In April and May, they can also see the seasonally limited native Taiwanese lilies and the one-of-a-kind Laomei Green Rock Slot! ▼Every year, April and May are the best times to appreciate the Laomei Stone Slot. ▼In addition to admiring the Laomei Stone Slot, don't miss the blooming native Taiwanese lilies (photo courtesy of the New Taipei City Government's Agriculture Bureau) In the summer, come to capture the beauty of the lighthouse at sunset. Located at the tip of the cape, the Fugui Cape Lighthouse is Taiwan's northernmost lighthouse, completed in 1897. Its black and white exterior is quite striking, and its original purpose was to facilitate the installation of undersea cables between Taiwan and Japan. For over a century, the Fugui Cape Lighthouse has stood steadfast on the cape, faithfully executing its duties. When summer arrives, the seasonally limited scenery takes center stage. As the sun sets, the glow of the sunset reflects off the lighthouse, creating a dreamy landscape that many photography enthusiasts want to capture. At night, under the starry sky, with the cool sea breeze blowing, a stroll amidst the stars is an experience that's well worth the trip. 【Lighthouse Visiting Hours】 Summer time: April 1 to October 31, 09:00-18:00 Winter time: November 1 to March 31, 09:00-17:00 Appreciate the wind-eroded stones from multiple angles, which are formed by wind and sand erosion. These stones can only be found in areas with strong winds, fine sand, and hard rock. The Fugui Cape area has the largest number of wind-eroded stones in Taiwan, with most having four faces. However, due to changes in wind direction and rock position, a variety of different rock formations have been shaped.
