Whenever the mountain breeze pays a visit, the crisp chime of the wind chimes rings out, creating a lively and festive atmosphere, as if greeting the mountain wind or welcoming visitors to Hui Gu Tao Yi. This romantic and charming place is indeed Hui Gu Tao Yi, which spans over 2,000 pings. Hui Gu Tao Yi was co-founded by husband and wife team, Dai Zhi-ting and Chen Yi-zi. As Chen was once a ceramic painter in Yingge, the showcase features many elegant blue and white porcelain pieces, ranging from early hand-painted blue and white ceramics to ceramic art creations. Hui Gu Tao Yi is one of the few kilns in Taiwan that possesses both ceramic and porcelain manufacturing capabilities. Their modern ceramic art creations are highly popular among the public. For instance, the series of products inspired by the tung flower season, such as tea sets and wall clocks, boast a simple yet elegant design that beautifully captures the essence of the tung flowers. In addition to showcasing a wide variety of creative ceramics and porcelain pieces, the park also offers kiln tours and various DIY workshops, including painting wind chimes, tableware, tea sets, and flower vases, as well as hands-on experiences like hand-pulling embryos, injection molding, and pottery shaping. These activities are designed to allow visitors to enjoy the creative process and immerse themselves in the intellectual world of ceramics.
