※ The Show Kelan River Visitor Center is currently undergoing reconstruction works. The original large head chief totem pole landmark has developed cracks over the years due to earthquakes and has been removed as it became irreparable. Among water activities in the Hualien and Taitung regions, the most renowned and thrilling must be "Show Kelan River Rafting." Since the 1980s, Show Kelan River has been the top choice for domestic rafting activities. During summer rafting season, the 24 km river section from Ruisui Bridge to Changhong Bridge is dotted with numerous bright red inflatable rafts, creating a vibrant and captivating scene along the river. More than 20 rapids and dangerous sections of varying difficulties offer rafting tourists an unforgettable exhilarating experience. The natural beauty of canyons and unique rock formations along the Show Kelan River leaves a lasting impression on rafters' hearts, remaining unforgettable for a long time. Countless minivans constantly shuttle back and forth along Rihuakang Road (Ruisui Port Road), winding beside the river through the hills, transporting passengers between areas. The East Coast National Scenic Area Management Office established the Ruisui Rafting Service Center near the southern side of Ruisui Bridge on the Show Kelan River. Located in this traditional-style indigenous architectural building, the service center provides ecological resource information about the Show Kelan River rafting section, offers rafting-related tourist services, shows safety films, and also features a campsite. During rafting season, the center provides the most comprehensive services for visitors.
