The site of the original "Congqingxuan" was the residence of Xu Xie, an official who passed the imperial examination in the year 1601 (the 23rd year of the Wanli era). During the reign of the Kangxi Emperor, Commander Chen Long, considering that the old Jinfu City had experienced multiple wars during the late Ming Dynasty, and that the town of Houpu had become prosperous, decided to move and rebuild the Commandery Office there. After several renovations, it eventually became the current size. Until 1915, when Jinfu was established as a county, the Commandery Office remained the highest administrative center, and it went through the County Office, County Government, Administrative Office, and the Jinfu Defense Department, among others. It is now one of the classic tourist attractions in Jinfu and a county-level cultural relic site. Entering this four-section, two-aisle quadrangle building, time seems to flow back to the past. The old official residence is well preserved, with wax figures at the entrance, the main hall, and the inner office, recreating the past atmosphere. Each room has detailed textual explanations. The towering kapok tree in the courtyard is a must-see, with a history of hundreds of years. Every spring and early summer, when the tree is in full bloom, it attracts numerous photography enthusiasts, who take pictures of the bright orange flowers, adding to the atmosphere of the Commandery Office.
