The Jianshanpu Reservoir is surrounded by mountains on all sides, boasting a rich ecological landscape and serene environment. The reservoir is home to a diverse array of tree species and plants, with hundreds of types of flowers blooming in succession throughout the four seasons. This creates a picturesque scene, reminiscent of a small garden. During the midsummer months, the reservoir attracts numerous butterflies, weaving a captivating natural spectacle. The Taiwan Sugar Company established the "Liuying Jianshanpu Resort" at Jianshanpu Reservoir, which was selected as one of the "Three Gardens" in the "New Southern Taiwan Scenic Spots". With its rich and beautiful natural landscape and well-planned facilities, it has become a unique vacation destination in southern Taiwan. The phrase "If West Lake is compared to Xizi,浓妝淡抹總相宜" metaphorically compares the reservoir to West Lake and Jianshanpu to the Jiangnan style. This was the inspiration behind the initial design of the Jianshanpu Resort, exuding a tranquil and leisurely charm that radiates a captivating aura.
