Known as "Master Songlin," Li Songlin (1907–1999), an art master, hailed from Yongchun County, Fujian. He was born into a traditional woodcarving family. During the Daoguang era of the Qing dynasty, his great-grandfather Li Kejiu crossed the sea to Taiwan and participated in the renovation of Luangang Longshan Temple. Since then, the family has been settled in Luangang.
