Taking nature as his teacher, Yeh Chih-cheng returned to his native hometown to create, allowing the influence of ceramic aesthetics to take root in the hearts of local children from an early age. With over two decades devoted to ceramic creation, he built Changhua County’s first anagama kiln in Tianzhong Town and, using Tianzhong Kiln as his base, uses art to reveal the simplicity of rural society. In recent years, he has further employed community building and large-scale exhibition projects to bring the small town of Tianzhong into the spotlight.
