Throughout the campus, you can see historical sites and historic buildings. The overall campus layout is designed with a clear east-west axis. On both sides of the Coconut Avenue, tall coconut trees are planted, with azaleas nearby. Between the trees and the buildings are camphor trees and Japanese yew. Walking along the Coconut Avenue, the greenery forms an arch above the sunrise, giving a feeling of moving towards a broad and prosperous road. It is a unique sunrise spot within the city. Near the College of Agriculture, there are many gardens with aquatic plants, vegetables, fruits, and herbs. The experimental farm also has some interesting ecological restoration observations. The alleys around the campus are surrounded by mainstream bookstores and independent small bookstores, creating a strong cultural atmosphere around National Taiwan University. Between the bookstores, the coffee culture also adds to the rich cultural atmosphere.
