Located across from the 228 Park, this museum of natural history and paleontology is a historic building of the former Bank of Commerce, which was left over from the Japanese colonial period. The exterior is a stone building with a grand Roman colonnade, and the wall material uses a segmented mortar joint technique. The cast-iron windows are equipped with pulleys and weights to make opening and closing easier. The cast-iron windows are all embedded with hexagonal mesh wire netting pressed glass, which can be used to witness the construction techniques and craftsmanship levels of that time.
The grand three-story hall is decorated with gypsum relief and clay modeling boards. Inside, it displays various paleontological specimens, large dinosaur models, and the specimen of the elephant Lin Wang. It also regularly holds exhibitions on the history of the Land Bank, vaults, and building restoration.
