2024-04-11
台北市中正區南海路47號
National Taiwan Art Education Museum (hereinafter referred to as the Museum), established on March 29, 1957, is the first public art museum in our country, and is also the only government agency with "art education" as its core business. The museum's operations center on the relationship between "people and art," promoting the rooting of school art education, and combining with all sectors to promote aesthetic education, aiming to achieve the goal of "art in daily life and daily life in art." The Museum is located in the Nanshan Campus, which has unique natural and cultural characteristics. The building is from the 1950s, representing the new architectural style of the post-war Chinese classical style, including two major building complexes, the Nanshan Theater and the Nanshan Academy. In addition, there are the Nanshan Outdoor Gallery and the Nanshan Arts and Culture Plaza around the area, which carry out and promote activities related to research, promotion, and guidance of school art education, making it an important venue for art exhibitions, learning, and cultivating creative talents. In 2006, the Taipei City Heritage Review Committee rated the Museum's buildings (including the Nanshan Theater and the Nanshan Academy) as "historic buildings," forming a unique architectural group within the Nanshan Campus along with the nearby Education Radio Station and the History Museum, possessing urban landscape and historical value.
