The Jasmine Tea Garden is located in Longsheng Village (also known as Jasmine Village), Shiting District, along the Northern No.32 Township Road. One of Taiwan's ancient tea-producing regions, it lies at an elevation of over 300 meters. The soil contains sand and gravel, and the area experiences moderate annual rainfall. As early as the 1950s–1960s, during the tea industry's peak, local tea farmers blended jasmine flowers with tea as a fragrance enhancer during roasting, thereby elevating the tea's value. Each 100 kilograms of tea required the addition of 25 kilograms of jasmine blossoms, leading to extensive planting of osmanthus trees within tea fields. After August each year, villagers of all ages would gather in the jasmine groves to collect fresh blossoms, forming a distinctive local landscape and an integral part of the community's life experiences.
