Xin Ming Jin Restaurant was originally Xin Ming Jin Fish Ball Store, located in Chiayi City East Market. It has 50 years of rich history and is a supplier of freshly made and sold fish balls and cooked food. Xin Ming Jin's customers, in addition to fresh supermarkets, also include many hot pot restaurants and snack shops around Chiayi County and City. In 2002, under customer suggestions and trends of the times, the owner transformed the store on Ren'ai Road into a dining place that combines traditional snacks and new simple meals. Not only did it inherit traditional flavors such as fish balls and fried lotus root, but it also allowed customers to taste different cuisines such as baked and hot pot dishes. Due to its local characteristics and new culinary elements, Xin Ming Jin was selected as one of Chiayi City's famous stalls and specialties by the Ministry of Economic Affairs' Commercial Affairs Department in 2004. In 2007, it was also selected as a special store for Chiayi City's Zhuo Luo artists and a featured restaurant for the International Band Festival. In recent years, it has received honors such as Chiayi City's Top 10 Characteristic Snacks, Taiwan's Top 100 Food Snacks, and National GSP Service Certification.
