Xin Mingjin Restaurant was originally known as Xin Mingjin Fishball Shop, nestled within Chiayi City's Chong Market. This establishment with a rich heritage of 50 years supplies freshly prepared fishballs and cooked foods on-site. Clients of Xin Mingjin range from grocery retailers to numerous hot pot shops and snack eateries across Chiayi and surrounding regions. In 2002, guided by customer suggestions and industry trends, the owner transformed it into a dining venue at Rende Road, merging traditional street delicacies with modern convenience meals. Not only does this legacy carry forward traditional flavors like fishballs and braised burdock, it also diversifies with offerings such as baked dishes and hot pot specialties. This fusion of local culture and contemporary culinary innovations earned Xin Mingjin a 2004 recognition as Chiayi City's renowned street food brand from the Ministry of Economic Affairs' Department of Commerce. Further acknowledgments include selections as Chiloh River (Chu-luo) Artisan Choice Store and Featured Restaurant for the International Concert Band Festival in 2007. In subsequent years, Xin Mingjin has received honors such as Chiayi's Top 10 Signature Snacks, Top 100 Taiwani Snack Foods, and National GSP Service Certification.
