The Sanxia Zushan Temple, located in the center of Sanxia Street, is the religious center of the Anxi immigrants. It was originally founded in the 34th year of the Qianlong era (1769). In the 36th year of the Republic of China, due to the temple's long-term disrepair, Professor Li Meilin was elected to be in charge of the artistic design and engineering guidance for the reconstruction. The temple integrated various schools of artisans and the style of contemporary artists, thus earning the reputation of "a hall of folk art" and "a hall of Eastern art." Entering the Sanxia Zushan Temple, one is immediately deeply attracted by its splendid and magnificent halls, which are rich in religious art. The temple enshrines the Shuiqing Zushan from Anxi, Quanzhou, Fujian. Shuiqing Zushan is also called Zushan Gong, Wumian Zushan, Luobi Zushan, etc. It is said that he has different names due to his different miracles and powers, and it is a quite common folk belief.
