Located on the north bank of Xikou Stream in Su'ao New Town, the park features recreational facilities such as pavilions, bird-watching pavilions, walking trails, and fishing platforms, as well as large wetlands with rich ecological resources. The park attracts migratory birds to inhabit, and common bird species include spotted doves, Chinese egrets, barn swallows, azure-winged magpies, little ducks, and great egrets. It is also the terminus of the Yilan Coastal Bike Trail's Xikou South Section, offering a diverse landscape and fun experience for cyclists to enjoy with water birds at the end of their journey, adding to the charm of Yilan's coastal tourism.
Adjacent to the park is a banyan tree park, featuring a large banyan tree with twisted roots and branches, creating a unique and fascinating spectacle. The park can be divided into a flat ring-shaped lake trail and an elevated observation platform and eco-boardwalk, which includes remnants of military fortifications. The terrain is classified as a "stable sand dune" that is no longer affected by wave action, and is an older sand dune located farther from the coast. The area is home to trees such as chinaberry and golden cotton tree, and offers a panoramic view of the ecological pond wetlands from the observation platform, making it an ideal spot for bird-watching and leisurely strolls.
