金門縣891金湖鎮玉章路往太武山方向
The Reflection Tower is located behind the "Yanping Prince's Chess Playing Place" stone top, with seven levels, octagonal in shape, 5.76 meters high, and shaped like a gourd. It is one of the three towers built by Zhou Dexing in the early Ming Dynasty on Kinmen (Maoshan Tower, Wentai Ancient Tower, and Reflection Tower). In the 7th year of the Republic of China, the tower collapsed due to an earthquake. Just before the Japanese occupation of Kinmen in the 26th year of the Republic of China, the Reflection Tower was completed, but it was immediately dismantled for military reasons. In the 93rd year of the Republic of China, it was rebuilt again. The top of the tower is engraved with the four characters "Wenfeng Songxiu" (Literary Peak Beautifully Uplifting). The original "Feng" (peak), "Xiu" (beautiful), and "Song" (uplifting) characters are still preserved, the original stone with the character "Feng" (peak) and the stone with the character "Xiu" (beautiful) and "Song" (uplifting), are scattered around the site. The name "Reflection Tower" comes from a legend: because the mountain is high and the tower is tall, the sunset often stretches the tower's shadow long and reflects on the sea surface, attracting fish to swim in groups around the tower's shadow. The poem written by the Qing Dynasty scholar Lin Shumei, "The tower's shadow presses upon the waves, reflection shines upon the rocks and trees. It is not a miracle, but understood by the calm," best describes the feeling of the "Reflection Tower" on the summit of Taowu Mountain.
