The Zhulin Leisure Agriculture Area is located alongside the South Cross Highway in the Liugui District, with an elevation between 400 and 1,300 meters. The climate is mild. On a clear day, visitors can see the layered ridges of the Central Mountain Range and the gurgling streams of the Bao-Lai Stream. Especially during the winter and spring, the area is covered with blossoming Japanese apricot trees, making it seem like a fairy tale land.
The area used to be famous for its bamboo and bamboo shoots; in fact, the name “Zhulin” comes from this. In 2001, with government guidance and planning, the Zhulin Leisure Agriculture Area was established. Besides the famous Japanese apricots and apricot flowers, each season brings a different charm to the area, making it a popular tourist destination.
It's recommended to spend about an hour here. However, the road condition between Bao-Lai and Zhulin is not good, so visitors are advised to be careful and to call the local farmers ahead of time to confirm their plans.
