It is also the gateway to the natural scenery of the Southern Cross-Island Highway. During holidays, the area is frequented by tourists. To cater to the needs of tourists during their travels, we provide essential tourist information, rest areas, and quality dining environments. The "Bao lai Old Tree Plaza Visitor Center" was built at the location of the Bao lai Old Tree Plaza. The Bao lai Old Tree Plaza features a group of precious old trees (lemon eucalyptus and old camphor trees). When entering the Bao lai area from Liugui, you can clearly see the Old Tree Plaza and the towering and beautiful old trees. The Old Tree Plaza is located on a relatively high terrain, offering a view of the Laonong River valley and the surrounding hills. The scenery is beautiful, and even on regular days, tourists often stop to admire the stunning valley views. During the annual plum viewing and hot spring seasons, the Old Tree Plaza is the main venue for events and performances. The first phase of the center's construction (building construction) began on October 13, 1998, and was completed on February 6, 1999. The first floor serves as a tourist service center, featuring a tourist consultation desk, a multi-functional audio-visual room, interactive tourism navigation media, an exhibition area, and a wooden rest platform. The second floor houses a small conference room, a research room, and offices.
