Liyu Mountain Trail is located near Liyu Pond in Houliang Township, Hualien County, within the low-altitude forest of the Central Mountain Range. Hualien Forest District Management Branch has constructed multiple trails here. Along the surrounding roads, there are four trailheads for mountain hiking, birdwatching, picnics, and fitness activities, allowing visitors to plan routes according to their preferences. Throughout the trail, one can enjoy the scenic beauty of Liyu Pond, leisurely walk while appreciating the landscapes and birdwatch. Upon reaching the summit, the panoramic vistas of Hualien-Fenglin Valley, the Central Mountain Range, and the Coastal Mountain Range are breathtaking.
