Beigan’s Qinbi Village is hailed as the “Mediterranean of the East.” Its traditional Min-dong architecture was originally built to suit the local climate and environment; later, descendants of the settlers added their own ingenuity by turning the houses into guesthouses. After renovation, the buildings retain their antique charm while offering modern amenities. Many visitors choose to stay here to indulge in nostalgic reverie, and numerous TV shows and commercials have used the village as a filming location. With only a limited number of guest rooms available, those unable to stay can still order a coffee, sit beneath a large parasol, gaze out at the sea, let their minds drift, and listen to the sound of the waves—an experience that captures the relaxed ambiance of a Mediterranean holiday.
