The riverside bicycle paths in Taipei are well planned, offering public bike rental services, allowing people to circle along the Tamsui River, Keelung River, Xindian River, and Jingmei River, enjoying the natural and cultural landscapes along 111 kilometers of riverside. The riverside areas are rich in natural scenery and historical sites. Besides being an ideal place for citizens to relax, it also reflects the development trajectory of a city.
The riverside areas from Yuanshan, Datong, to Neihu have undergone significant transformation, creating wide flood channels, becoming the most beautiful section of the Keelung River, and preserving space for the city to "breathe." If you enter from the Dadaocheng Evacuation Gate (Dand5) to the Tamsui River, you can enjoy the romantic night view of the Tamsui River with lights flickering on both sides.
Entering the riverside bicycle path from the Lin An Tai Evacuation Gate on the left bank, visitors can see interpretive signs that record the origin and renovation story of the Keelung River, allowing the public to understand the long history of the Keelung River while enjoying sports and leisure. DaJia Riverside Park is a newly created area after the riverbed was filled in. The park is filled with green fields, and the western area has developed into a green park. The most distinctive part is the water-friendly park between Zhongshan Bridge and Dajie Bridge, with the landmark "Spring of Hope" fountain, a 25-floor-high fan-shaped water curtain, and a spectacular water dance, with beautiful colorful neon lights at night.
The entire riverside area has become colorful and dazzling, with the classical and magnificent red buildings of Yuanshan Hotel as a backdrop, making the scenery particularly beautiful. It is an ideal place for all ages, especially for couples. Visitors entering from the right bank's Meidi Evacuation Gate can also see the historical stories of the Keelung River depicted on the embankment walls, equally fascinating. A night tour of the Keelung River allows you to see the dazzling Ferris wheel and the night view of the Neihu Science Park, which is truly beautiful.
