The Meidi Pier, located outside the 16th gate of the Keelung River, in front of the Meidi evacuation gate, is one of the ports in the Blue Highway water transportation network. Its layout is similar to the Dajia Pier, and it is currently mainly used for the docking of passenger ships operating on the Blue Highway routes. The Meidi Pier extends the Blue Highway route to the Neihu area, transforming the Keelung River from a point into a water tourism belt that combines with the MRT shopping district. Nearby, there are attractions such as the Palace Museum, the Martyrs' Shrine, and the Ferris wheel, as well as large shopping centers and hypermarkets around the Neihu Science Park, making it a great place for shopping. In addition, the Meidi Riverside Park, where the pier is located, offers a wide view, allowing visitors to look far and see the Taipei 101 Tower and the airplanes taking off and landing at the Songshan Airport. It is also an excellent place for citizens to get close to the riverside, take a leisurely walk, or ride a bicycle.
