Xinwu, Taoyuan is the largest rice-producing area in northern Taiwan and is home to seven historic granaries nearly a century old. Nestled inside one of them is “Xinwu Rice Bakery,” a unique shop run by a group of lively and dedicated “Farm Moms.” To promote local rice, they use premium rice flour made from nearby grain to craft an array of rice-based pastries.
The Farm Moms reduce wheat flour and incorporate rice grown by neighboring farmers, so people with gluten sensitivities can still enjoy delicious breads and desserts. Rice-flour treats also provide a satisfying sense of fullness while lowering calorie intake.
All breads are made with slow, low-temperature fermented starter dough. Committed to quality and texture, every item is hand-shaped by the Moms in small batches. To guarantee you receive the freshest product—and to avoid missing out—advance orders are strongly recommended.
