To connect the natural mountain trails between Shetou, Changhua and Nantou City, the route can be divided into a south and north section; the south ends at the Houtanjing Recreation Area, while the north ends at the Star-Moon Sky Scenic Restaurant. At present, the connecting passages to both endpoints are closed, so hikers must retrace their steps. The trail is about 2.1 km long; although overgrown, the path is still traceable. Near the Nantou side there are steep, climbing staircases. The southern section, close to an untended stream, is generally damp, and in places the weeds are higher than waist level. The northern section is comparatively dry and easier to walk, but some steps have collapsed. Because a round-trip is required, few people hike here, making it suitable for outdoor explorers and trekking enthusiasts. Trail length: 2.11 km. Walking time: 1.5 hours. Facilities: simple parking space.
