After more than half a century of development, Taiwan’s water-hardware industry gradually coalesced into a typical cluster in the Dingfanpo area of Lukang. At its peak, more than 800 factories operated here, covering the entire water-hardware supply chain and producing faucets and other water-hardware products for both domestic and international markets. This concentration earned Lukang the reputation as the “hometown of faucets,” forming one of Taiwan’s distinctive industrial enclaves.
