The local area is surrounded by mountains, and when the sun shines, the moisture accumulated in the forest evaporates into clouds and fog, forming a white wave-like phenomenon in the green mountains, creating a sea of clouds landscape. There are many places to appreciate the sea of clouds in the local area, among which the area around Xiaoge Tou on the North Yilan Highway is the most famous. Looking north from Xiaoge Tou towards Yuguiling and other mountains, the mountain peaks protrude above the cloud layer, and with even a slight change in the weather, the entire mountain range sinks into the sea of clouds, making for a spectacular sight. Compared to other cloud-watching spots in Taiwan, its low elevation and high frequency of occurrence are its distinctive features.
