Simplified Chinese, Japanese, English, Korean The Star‑Gazing Park is located in the area of Mount Yanshui, along the eastern side of the South Shore of the Yanshui Fishing Port. Yanshui is known for its popular snorkeling spot, which is right at the beachfront at the foot of the mountain. The park was completed in its full reconstruction in 2008. By following the trail up, you can gaze at the mountain, sea, and harbor from the star‑gazing park; behind the mountain lies grasslands and a coastal trail. Within the park there are three pavilions. As you walk along the trail, you can pause for a break and then continue on. In the recess behind the mountain, a star‑observation stone plaque depicting the four seasons is displayed as a reference. This star‑instrument zone is designed to shield the locked harbor and Yanshui sea area from the nighttime lights of small fishing boats in the summer nights, masking the light pollution from fishing fires on the sea surface with earth walls, thereby making stargazing smoother. You can enjoy a full sky of stars at this star‑gazing plaza. Yanshui Star‑Gazing Park sits at the highest point on the eastern side of Yanshui, overlooking the Yanshui beach and the Yanshui Fishing Port from above. The blue sea is all within sight, while on the other side the expansive coastal grasslands and sandy paths between the locked harbor and Yanshui can be seen. The wide grassland has its own unique beauty, green in summer and yellowish in winter. Here you can watch the sunrise in the morning, the sunset in the evening, and stargaze at night.
