The Shanshui 30 High Ground is located to the right of Shanshui Beach and near the basalt cliff area adjacent to the wetland park. This location is not only a park but also offers panoramic views of the entire Golden Shells Beach. Historically a military stronghold, after the Penghu County Government took over, it actively upgraded the area, adding facilities such as pedestrian pathways, shade structures, resting benches, interpretive facilities, public restrooms, and a small parking lot. Integrated with existing accommodations, visitors can ascend the wooden boardwalk to the summit for an expansive view of Shanshui Coast's breathtaking seascape. The Shanshui 30 High Ground Park features a steel structure with lighting and an installation art piece named "Shanshui Mapped Radiance," incorporating a short poem titled by the County Magistrate Lai Feng-wei. During the day, the 360-degree perspective can be viewed from all angles, allowing people to freely move under the structure. The mountain silhouette concept is visible from a distance from Shanshui Beach. At night, landscape lighting illuminates the Shanshui 30 High Ground Park, with light colors changing rhythmically with music, creating interactive sensations of "mountain" and "water," expressing the local imagery and conveying the spirit of Penghu. This development has established a new nighttime landmark in Penghu. Guests can experience an atmosphere distinct from daytime when visiting at night.
