The Si Cao Public Temple has over two hundred years of history and is the spiritual center for the fishermen in Si Cao, An Nan District. Every year on the 15th day of the 11th lunar month is the birthday of General Zhenhai. Visitors come here to worship the public deity, pray for family safety and well-being, and explore the natural green tunnel formed by the red mangrove forest in the drainage channel behind the temple. This unique ecosystem provides a comfortable, warm in winter and cool in summer, environment for a relaxing boat ride. As you glide through, you may spot egrets, night herons, and other birds flying low over the water,eliciting gasps of wonder. From March to May, the area is a vital stopover for migratory birds returning north, filling the skies of Si Cao with a breathtaking spectacle of thousands of birds in flight, an unforgettable sight.
