The Xinhuwei River lies on the southern edge of the township, facing Huwei Township across the water. The Central Taiwan Science Park’s Huwei Campus and the THSR Huwei Station are situated just south of the riverbank at Nanzi Village and will significantly influence the township’s future development. The Irrigation Association has installed a rubber dam in the Nanzi section to regulate water levels and divert flow to another channel for irrigating nearby farmland.
