On Bo’ai Street in Yonghe District, New Taipei City, a handful of retired teachers who hoped to nurture community-building founded the “New Taipei City Yonghe Art Education Development Association.” Their goal was to weave art into daily life and bring it right into the neighborhood. The 500-meter-long Bo’ai Art Street has since grown rich in humanistic atmosphere; it is an art street reborn through a special urban-renewal project.
