Ganzhou Street, commonly known as the "Tea Street," once played a significant role in the history of tea in Dadaocheng. During its peak period, just Ganzhou Street and the nearby Guisui Street were home to over a dozen tea stores. In addition, at that time, the "Jinji Tea Store" on Guidede Street, the "Xinfangchun Tea Store" on Minsheng West Road, the "Nanxing Tea Store" which is now the Quanxiang Tea Factory on Xining North Road, and the "Youji Mingcha" on Chongqing North Road were all important pioneers in the development of the tea industry.
Although Ganzhou Street has now declined, there are still five or six tea stores remaining. These stores continue to follow traditional tea-making techniques, preserving authentic tea culture. Every cup of tea is the result of a complicated and meticulous process, making the tea more fragrant and with a pleasant aftertaste. Moreover, the tea here will never be cut corners, reflecting the sincere and honest hospitality spirit passed down by previous generations. In addition, the Chaoyang Park on Chongqing North Road is now a tea-themed park, recording the contributions of the tea industry in the past. It also hopes to revitalize the commercial vitality of the old community by combining tea with culture, recreation, and tourism.
