In recent years, there has been a surge in interest in tracing the roots of Pingpu culture. In order to preserve the unique characteristics of Pingpu culture, the Tainan City Government established the "Liujhongxi Pingpu Cultural Park" to rebuild the communal hall. This has provided a more suitable space for the long-interrupted nighttime festival activities. Traditional bamboo houses have been constructed, and artifacts such as daily utensils of the Pingpu people are on display. The communal hall built with bamboo cage-style architecture is divided into two rooms, respectively dedicated to the worship of Qingshui Laojun and the Five Ancestral Sisters. The Five Ancestral Sisters do not have physical forms; instead, they are represented by five urns arranged in a sequence. They are worshiped with rice wine and betel nuts. Every year, from the evening of the 14th to the dawn of the 15th day of the 9th lunar month, the nighttime festival for the Five Ancestral Sisters takes place.
