Finally, after crossing Momiji Bridge, you will arrive at Momiji Hot Spring at the foot of the mountain! This location is about 5 kilometers away from Ruishui Station. The temperature of the hot spring is around 47 degrees Celsius, with a weak alkaline and clear tasteless sodium bicarbonate spring quality. Furthermore, its water supply is abundant and never runs dry, hence the Momiji Hot Spring has been famed since the Japanese colonial period. At that time, the Japanese government designated this place as a Police Rehabilitation Resort. After the end of Japanese rule, it was changed into a privately-run Momiji Hot Spring Inn. This inn has been designated as a cultural heritage, and although it can operate commercially, the condition is to preserve the original structure without any alterations. Therefore, to this day, the exterior maintains the traditional Japanese wooden-style architecture, with rooms arranged as tatami-matted common rooms and suites, and a bathhouse featuring an old-style tub covered in circular ceramic tiles. Although the interior decorations are not luxurious or modern, the clear and elegant corridor, wooden latticed windows, traditional arranged tatami common rooms, combined with a refined garden scenery, actually create a more authentic hot spring ambience filled with a nostalgic charm. With an advantageously located environment, the entire inn is steeped in a deep sense of retro style, allowing bathers immersed in the warm spring water to gaze at the misty mountain views and enjoy nature's embrace.
