In 1957, Mr. Chen Wen-hui, the founder of Black Bridge Foods, established a family-style meat factory at a location near the Tainan Canal commonly known as "Wuqiao" (now known as Xinnan Bridge). In 1973, the company registered the trademark "Black Bridge Bridge". In 1979, the factory was expanded to Tainan Anping Industrial Zone, becoming Taiwan's first automated meat processing factory. In December 2009, the company was officially renamed "Black Bridge Enterprise Co., Ltd.". In 2012, the Black Bridge Sausage Museum, a tourist factory, was established, dedicating to education in the meat processing industry and promoting the cultural heritage of original food products.
