屏東縣高樹鄉縣道185線沿山公路2k旁
The entrance to Dàjīn Waterfall is located in Gāoshù Township, Xīnfēng Village, along County Route 185, near the 2km mark. It is also known as "Āwū Waterfall", "Wèiliào Waterfall", or "Xīnfēng Waterfall". The waterfall consists of five tiers. The first two tiers have well-developed trails and are more popular among tourists. The dense tree canopy provides natural shade, attracting many visitors. The waterfall is approximately 20 meters high and drops at a 90-degree angle, cascading down the cliff like a white silk ribbon. The valley area is not large, but the dense foliage and water flow create a majestic atmosphere. A pavilion offers a panoramic view of Píngdōng's lush landscape, making it a must-see for tourists. It is recommended to spend about 1 hour here, excluding rest time. The hike to the waterfall takes around 20-30 minutes. However, the third, fourth, and fifth tiers are located in deep forests and are less accessible. Visitors are advised to be cautious and prepared with proper gear and attention to personal safety, as the area is prone to snakes and insects.
