The "Fu Le Recreation Fish Village" covers an area of over two hectares of fishponds. The owner, Mr. Guo, used to cultivate grass shrimp and tilapia, and besides fish, he also raised many types of small white shrimp. He has over 20 years of experience in cultivating eel and has served as the leader of the eel production and marketing class for many years, and has won the "Dedicated Farmer Award".
Zhu Bei is also an important eel-producing area in Taiwan. Every autumn, when the nine strong winds blow through Hsinchu, the dried eel will exhibit a golden and shiny appearance, with a chewy texture and a more delicious flavor than other producing areas. Therefore, Zhu Bei's eel roe is one of the best in Taiwan.
The "Fu Le Recreation Fish Village" initially focused on fishpond cultivation and later opened up for recreational fishing. Guests often got hungry while fishing, so they joined the local homemaker's class, learning to incorporate local ingredients into their cooking. In recent years, they have combined their experience in running the "Tian Mama" restaurant and rich experience in production and marketing to actively promote agricultural education, attracting many domestic and foreign groups to visit.
The owner, Mr. Guo, hopes that when guests come here, they can not only taste various signature dishes featuring fresh eel but also learn about eel ecology through guided tours. Moreover, through rich eel roe and eel ball DIY experience activities, guests can gain a deep understanding of the process from "fishpond to table," including feeding eel, casting nets to catch fish, washing eel roe, and drying eel roe. This makes it an excellent place for both adults and children to enjoy together.
The self-made and researched products of "Fu Le Recreation Fish Village," such as eel floss, eel spicy sauce, and eel roe Q饼, are not only representative of the local area but also fresh and delicious, making them suitable for both gifting and personal use.
To ensure that guests can enjoy the freshest dishes, advance reservations are required. The restaurant does not offer à la carte options; instead, Mr. Guo combines freshly cultivated seafood with local, fresh vegetables to create unique, private dishes.
Within the park, besides fish cultivation, there are many animals roaming freely.
