新北市金山區台2線39公里處
Zhongjiao Bay, with its concave sandy shoreline, is sculpted year-round by the seasonal north winds that send wave after wave rolling in, making it one of northern Taiwan’s premier surf spots. On weekends, surfers dot the water, riding the wind and chasing the swells. The beach’s broad, gently sloping shallows and fine, nearly stone-free sand make it perfect for family outings and carefree summer splashing. Nearby, paid hot-and-cold showers, a visitor center, and a surf center stand ready, while several clubs offer board rentals and lessons; whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned rider, you’ll find your thrill on this stretch of sand. If you’d rather simply gaze at the sea, settle onto the circular plaza’s seating and drink in the boundless blue, or slip into one of the surrounding cafés for a leisurely coffee and ocean views. Beyond surfing and swimming, Zhongjiao Bay also offers a distant vista of Jinshan’s famous “Candlestick Islets,” two sea stacks that—side by side—resemble twin candleholders and inspire the bittersweet legend of the “Husband-and-Wife Rocks.”
