The Fulong Visitor Center sits right next to Fulong Beach, mainly offering exhibitions and explanations of the natural ecology, cultural history, and tourist attractions along the Northeast Coast. It houses a briefing room, a recreation display area, a driftwood sculpture gallery, sections for natural ecology, cultural relics, and individual art exhibitions. The recreation area introduces land, sea, and air activities, and provides hands-on zones for cycling, hiking, and hang-gliding, using virtual reality so visitors can experience the Northeast Coast firsthand. The “Reborn Driftwood Gallery” displays works carved mostly from precious red cypress and camphor wood—native species swept here by typhoons, salvaged by the scenic-area administration, and sculpted by master woodcarvers from Sanyi. The pieces faithfully embody the spirit of natural recycling, blending tourism with art and culture to create a unique cultural asset for the Northeast Coast.
